the wider communityMarj Boyer is Vice Chairman of the Variety Club in the North West . Her commitment to the charity spans several years and she encourages and endorses innovation in the way the charity performs to ensure that every penny possible is used for the benefit of children within the region. The Variety Club Children's Charity exists to improve the quality of life for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the country. The past 50 years show that Variety Club has a wonderful track-record of helping where help is needed. With the generous contributions from the public, our impact on deprived youngsters has been tremendous and we have raised over £200 million for them. As long as there are disadvantaged children in the United Kingdom our work remains incomplete. Over 4,500 coaches have also been presented by the Variety Club. Marj is a Fellow and Treasurer of the North West Region of the RSA. She is also active in looking at innovation in business and encouraging forward thinking. A project that she is pioneering is Reverse Mentoring/Open Thoughts, which will look at how different business experiences can be adopted for the benefit of all.
